Recorded January 17, 2017 in the Arnold Schönberg Hall of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands. Recording: Lilita Dunska. The idea for this composition came to Jørgensen when he was walking along his favorite beach in The Hague. While gazing at the horizon he was captured by the mystical view from the beautiful Dutch seaside, and started fantasizing about the scenery at the other side of the North Sea and beyond. Open.Theremin is an opensource & DIY Theremin produced in Switzerland, by Gaudi Lab : http://www.gaudi.ch/OpenTheremin/ I discussed a lot with Urs Gaudenz, director of Gaudi Lab, about this new version (Open.Theremin v3) and i got the chance to beta test it. I decided to present it in a demo-perfo video about "Theremin & Retro Gaming", like i did for the previous version (Open.Theremin.UNO v2) Urs did a fantastic job improving his project. It's a great little theremin instrument, linear and playable. This newer version -v3- has a lot of great new functionalities: easy to built, easy calibration (all automatic!), manual fine tuning for adjustments (really great if you use Carolina Eyck's fingering technique), 3 registers, 8 different sound settings. Open.Theremin v3 is not meant to be a theremin for trained thereminist.
